Road Trip!
(: At 2 am on a Friday morning, Damian, Chris and I were on ICQ discussing Damian's plight of being stuck in Kuala Lumpur. Suddenly Damian had a brainwave! (at 2 in the morning, mind you.) "Why don't the two of you come down to KL for the weekend?"

*gasp* What a brilliant idea!! I had the whole weekend off. Chris is a bum. And Damian's suffering in KL.

..damn storm giant just killed my char on MUD..

Logistics - Or the lack of
The next thing to decide was what time should we actually leave? Took about 2 hours, but we finally agreed that Chris should leave Singapore immediately and cross the Causeway to beat the morning rush. I would then meet him at the Malaysian side in my Kembara and we will drive straight down to Kuala Lumpur.

Did it matter that this would be my first time driving out of State? Hell no.
Did it matter that we did not have a single clue how to get to Kuala Lumpur? Hell no.
Did it matter that I could not find a map of Kuala Lumpur at all? Hell no.
Did it matter that we were heading straight to Kuala Lumpur without booking any hotel accomodations at all? Hell no.

Within an hour's time, Chris called my cell from the Causeway. I was packed in 20 minutes, threw some Cokes into an ice-box, wasted time looking for ice for the ice-box, threw everything into my car. And off I went on my merry way at 5am in the morning.

Giggling, I picked Chris up and drove blindly towards the road signs that read "Kuala Lumpur". Hmm..what to say about the highway? Lots of toll booths. ): And, am I glad I topped up my gas tank before leaving.

We reached Damian's after about 4 hours. *boggle* We were in KL at nine in the morning!!! Peering up towards the morning sun, the three of us groaned and whined for about half an hour. To be awake at nine in the morning!

Damian had spent the first half of his life in KL, so he knows the roads, somewhat. (Though he did say things like, "Hey, I remember cycling across this road when I was a kid. Only this was just a dirt path, not a 6-lane highway." Things like this did shake our confidence in our guide drastically.)

We found the perfect hotel right in the midst of Megamall. And at 10am we were officially not-homeless in Kuala Lumpur. Three glorious days of food, food, shopping, getting lost in KL, meeting up with Roger and very funny friends, and more food. (:

On Monday at 6:30 in the morning, Damian knocked on our hotel door. And we piled into my car, back to reality. ):

Fun with Dys
Dys's blog sent me to The Sorting Hat. It's good to know that if I were to be in Hogswarts, I would be sitting with the Griffindors! (:

The Birthday Girl's in the MiddleHannah celebrated her birthday yesterday at the shop. The shop has never been more crowded! (: Happy Birthday Hannah! *hugs* and *kisses*
Detention Class
The name of the pub we went to on Friday night should be a dead give-away. But no, despite all the warning signs : the name, the location (River Valley Road!), the fact that its landmark was a CHURCH! Nope, that didn't deter me at all.

It was a Karaoke Pub!!!!!!

That's just me
Experience has not taught me a thing. Stupid decisions seem to haunt me no matter what. I cover my eyes willingly and throw caution to the wind. Walk down the same damned path I've travelled before countless of times. I can see what's at the end of the tunnel, yet happily skip down it without batting an eyelid. Once bitten, twice shy? Hell no, not me. I would foolishly stick my hand out to be snapped upon, again, and again.

Oh yeah. I'm silly that way. Silly, silly me.

I'm just waiting for the hammer to fall. o_o

Everything I ever needed to learn about life...

“To me it’s all about working hard, having fun, and...then like, working really hard some more... but then having some more fun...”
- Derek Zoolander on modeling

“A male model’s life is precious. Just because we're God’s most incredibly beautiful creations, we can still die in a freak gasoline fight accident.”
- Derek Zoolander on death

“I’m pretty sure there’s more to life than just being really, really good looking, and I plan on finding out what that is.”
- Derek Zoolander on life

“The other day, I was thinking of volunteering to help underprivileged children learn how to read... and just thinking about it was the most rewarding experience of my life.”
- Derek Zoolander on volunteering

“If I have a day off I’ll spend four to nine hours in front of the mirror, trying just a tilt of the head or a furrow of my eyelash. I mean my body, my face are my tools.”
- Derek Zoolander on working on his 'looks'.

“Even though the homeless are poor and smelly and live in boxes, their clothing and accessories are still really cool.”
- Derek Zoolander on the homeless

“I’m thinking, I’m hot, I’m sexy, I’m naughty, I’m coy, I’m scared, I’m an asteroid hurtling to the center of the earth about to blow up, big time.”
- Derek Zoolander on what he thinks of on the runway

“This phone is my lifeline. It’s as much a part of me as my blood, or my spleen or my toes.”
- Derek Zoolander on the importance of his cell phone

“Yeah, it was tough out there. Sometimes we had to work like eight hours days. The photo lights would get so hot they’d burn your skin, you’d get terrible calluses on your feet, rashes from all the makeup.”
- Derek Zoolander on hard work

“I mean, she’s at least two feet shorter and 35 pounds heavier than any woman I’ve ever been with but... there's something about her that just... gives me an erection.”

*stretch*
I'm home! I'm HOME! I didn't get to go to Movement like I originally planned, or Embassy. But instead I spent 2 out of 3 nights at Bangsar. (Roger has preferred customer status at his usual haunts.) And Happy Hour prices all night through never hurts.

That Day
Eeeks!
This song has NO chorus. And its compelling in a strange, strange way. Natalie Imbruglia sings "That Day" in White Lilies Island.
Kuala Lumpur
*sigh* I have to leave for KL again in less than 4 hours. Bah.. I have not been home for the past few days, and for the last couple of weeks, I spend more time in Singapore than in JB. I'm so, so tired.

And miserable.

I intend to paint KL red this time, afterall, my hotel's right in the middle of town. Heck, its directly opposite Movement (KL's most happening club. Well, that's what Roger claims, anyway.)

Damien will be in KL tomorrow, coincidentally. We have the following planned:
Sunday night - Movement
Monday night - Bangsar
Tuesday night- Embassy
Wednesday morning - Back to JB.

Back to JB, and back to being miserable.

V:tES
I actually played a couple of games of Vampire : The Eternal Struggle, the collectable card game. Its a long name, now you know why we call it 'V:tES' for short.

'Francois has Balls!'

The Brotherhood of Wolf
I watched a french movie a couple of days ago. I'm too tired to look for pics of it to post. But I have one word to say : Mani. *swoon*

The One
*groan* This show is one of the reasons why I'm so miserable. I cry when I think of the two hours I wasted watching this absolutely tedious show.

I cry when I think of the crappy ending, and I cry when I think about what they will name the sequel. The One Two? Thanks Damien. Just when I thought things can only get better.

Sleep
I don't want to.

Pack
I don't want to. Damn, its 5 am.
