Finding Nemo Coming May 30, 2003
(quoted from Disney/Pixar) "The film follows the comedic and eventful journeys of two fish - Marlin and his son Nemo - who become separated in the Great Barrier Reef when Nemo is unexpectedly taken far from home and thrust into a fish tank in a dentist's office overlooking Sydney harbor. Daddy Day Care Coming May 9, 2003 When a father (Murphy) loses his lucrative "dotcom" job, and finds himself in jeopardy of financial ruin, he joins his friends (Zahn, Garlin) in opening a free-spirited "guy-run" business called "Daddy Day Care" (in his house), much to the chagrin of the owner (Huston) of a more traditionally-operated rival center (King plays Murphy's wife; Krusiec plays a teacher at Huston's center; Arcieri plays a young single mother who becomes Zahn's romantic interest).
Pirates of the Caribbean Coming July 9, 2003 Set in the Caribbean Sea in the 17th century, this is the story of a gentleman rogue of a pirate, Jack Sparrow (Depp), who teams up with the daughter (Knightley) of a governor (Pryce) to stop the evil plan of a ship of dangerous pirates (led by Rush) who are trying to reverse an ancient curse that leaves them stuck between life and death, with the light of the moon revealing their skeletons, like some kind of undead monsters. #1 on the Top Ten List on Why I Need to Catch This Movie : Orlando Bloom.
Tears of the Sun Coming March 7, 2003 A team of Navy SEALS (led by Willis) is sent into the jungle in the heart of Nigeria on a search-and-rescue mission for a doctor (Bellucci). When they get to the village, the doctor says that she'll only leave if 70 refugees can leave too, which changes the mission's scope... can a handful of U.S. soldiers get to their rendezvous point before the several hundred African soldiers on their tail get to them first?

A while back, I raved breathlessly about In the Mood for Love. Well, Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung are lovers again in Zhang Yimou's Hero.

This is a simple story. About a King. This King has three famous assasins sent by neighbouring countries to kill him. They are Sky, Broken Sword and Snow. Nameless somehow manages to kill all three of them, and presents the King with the Assasins' weapons. (Now, you must understand, that in ye olde China, famous swordspeople do not just leave their weapons around to be stolen.) The King had proclaimed that to whomever that brings to him one of the Assassin's weapon, he may be allowed to come 200 paces from the King. And to the person who brings to the King another of the Assasins' weapons, he may be allowed to come within 100 paces from the King. With Sky's broken spear, Broken Swords' Sabre and Snow's Sword, Nameless was presented to the King at a hundred paces. And here, Nameless tells his story of how he managed to kill three of the realm's greatest assassins.
