Hotaru no Haka

I have been so depressed the last couple of weeks or so.

Why?

Graveyards of the Fireflies or Grave of the Fireflies or Hotaru no Haka. That's why.

I made the mistake of watching it without knowing anything about it first. The DVD cover looked so cute, a little child playing with fireflies. Awww. And its Anime, I mean, how wrong can it be? Also, it was done by the same people who gave us Totoro. Good ol' Totoro.

Masterfully, the two children in the show burrow deep into your heart with their cute and endearing antics. And just when you are comfortable with the fact they will always be around to make you smile. They die.

Yes. Die.

Watch the show if you want to be suicidally depressed. For a really long time. *CRY*
