Why Wash had to die

Jadyte says:
wah!
Jadyte says:
damn good
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
finito
Jadyte says:
despite the fact i'm spoiler-ed to hell.
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
hey so which part you like best
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
"i'm a leave in the wind...... argh"
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
+wet scrunching sound+
Jadyte says:
i like it ALL!
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
oh okies
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
then
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
violent as hell, that river girl
Jadyte says:
too bad joss had to turn to something so cheap to ensure the series' survival.
Jadyte says:
wash was the only logical person to die.
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
hey
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
why is that
Jadyte says:
book dying is inevitable. but wash's death had the biggest buy-in from the audience.
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
hey i dunt get it
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
why must he die at all
Jadyte says:
on the other hand, Joss could have skipped the second death of a crew member but he knew the fans will forgive him for wash's death.
Jadyte says:
by him dying, the audience now felt anger towards the reavers.
Jadyte says:
before that, the audience did not feel anything personal against the reavers
Jadyte says:
just lots of talk about how violent they were etc etc
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
er... well...
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
thats true i guess
Jadyte says:
wash had to die, since the audience know him from the start of the show.
Jadyte says:
and joss tooK this sacrifice, knowing the fans will forgive him for this.
Jadyte says:
sigh
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
why not wash's wifey then
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
or inara
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
or someone insignificant
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
or someone everyone likes
Pearvert wishes everyone a Pearverted year ahead! says:
like JANE!
Jadyte says:
cannot be too insignificant, remember, he needs the audience's buy in.
Jadyte says:
jayne is not significant enough, he's very 2 dimensional Inara is too pretty, Zoe is the side-kick. Killing Kaylee will make the audience hate the show.
Jadyte says:
And that is why, Wash had to die.

Can't stop the Signal

Mal : Do you want to run this ship?
Jayne : Yeah!
Mal : Er, well... You can't!

Civilization 4

Ahh....Sid Meier's Civilization 4.

Now in its 4th incarnation, this time the game incorporates an alarm clock. How nifty!

"...to remind the player when to stop to work. And eat..."

Any geek worth his salt would know this function is not to be taken lightly.

I have already set my alarm clock.

Do it! Do it now!

New Toys

No Serenity. I guess I just have to amuse myself with other things.

Like these new toys for my desk.

The Micro Aqua from Tomy. The fish aquarium that fits on your desk.

Perfect for those who want the joy of having fish bobbing around happily in their fish tank, and yet without the hassle of actually caring for them.

With a flick of a switch, a light can be turned on, bathing the whole tank in a cool blue light, allowing you to examine in detail your perfectly healthy fish.

The whirring pump of the tank circulates the water in the tank, allowing your fish to swim around in perfectly aerated bliss.

A drop of common liquid detergent in the water will ensure your fish's survival, they will no longer tip unsightly on their sides as they swim around.

Huh? I hear you say. Detergent?

Yes, believe me. It works for these tanks of joy from Tomy. The Micro Aqua!

Three pristine tanks now sit on my desk, one with Nemo and friends, one with 2 jiggly jelly fish, and one with 3 saltwater tropical fish.

Joy!
