Are horoscopes a science?

I almost kicked someone out of a workshop today.

He declared psychology was not a science, and that there was no proof that it is.

Rather than get drawn into a crazy conversation that the rest of the class would not be bothered about, I asked if he would accept years of peer review and robust research as proof?

No, he said.

So what would? I asked.

Horoscopes get years of peer review and robust research, too, he replied.

Yeah, but are horoscopes a science?

Just punch him.

"A thousand apologies. Prior to my actually punching you, I had no proof that my fist would engage with your face."
